Humphrey
Odhiambois the B&A PR Strategic Communications Director. The
role entails formulation of creative modalities to win the media on behalf of B&A
PR clients, reviewing communication strategies and overseeing implementation of
periodic PR projects and team communication plans to enhance output.
After his Journalism training at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication where he
was elected chairman of the Trainees Body Organization, he furthered his career at
the United States International University (Kenya) in Mass Communication.
He has
since gained both leadership and well grounded experience that now spans over 10
years in managing publications, writing and editing: reports, speech-writing, developing
talking points and summary papers, brochures, newsletters and press releases.
Humphrey’s keen interest in specialist knowledge of information communications
technology (ICT) prompted him to pioneer the publishing of tele.com and telecoms
the leading East Africa ICT journals. He also edited and managed the production of
Family, a family social focused monthly magazine. While serving as the managing
editor of Business Mirror, a bi-monthly circulated across Eastern African, he gained
experience about the region’s steadily growing corporate world.
From Tanzania, he returned to Kenya to steer the inception and the ultimate launch of
HomesKenya and PrimeHomes, the facts-file publications for the now rapidly growing
Kenya’s real estate market. Taking advantage of his organization skills, he during this
period, ably crafted and launched the now popular and regularly hosted Kenya Homes
EXPO.
Humphrey’s experience in the media world is also demonstrated with his lead role
in production of television and radio advertisements for varied corporate products
and services. His stint in public relations is traced from the National Youth Service,
a Kenyan quasi-military unit where he grew through the ranks to become a senior
officer before joining the Child Welfare Society of Kenya as a Public Relations Officer.
