Her demonstrated leadership stems from the many years she was a member of the
board of directors and the PR & Fund-raising Committee of the Kenya Festivals for
Africa a troupe aimed at creating cultural exchange with South African artists both in
visual and performing artists. She’s to date both a member of the National Governing
Council for the Kenya NEPAD - Africa Peer Review Mechanism and a convener for
Corporate Governance Thematic Group.
Following her background in the media world, Esther has since inception of B&A PR
focused on raising the bar of corporate communication by building values that spark
excitement, create and uphold new ideas that have the power to effectively organize
events and zealously tell the client stories in the media.
Esther’s role of formulating vision and energizing teams to work with refreshing ideas
has over the years enabled her to live the value of a learning culture. This special trait
enabled her to run businesses such as Kichaka Artwear Africa, a company that gained
international recognition following its prowess in hand printed and stenciled textiles,
garments and crafts. She initiated a unique three train wagon looking containers and
positioned them in town to sell food at the heart of Nairobi’s Central Business District
under her company Beeftrain Express Limited.
Following Esther’s keen interest in information and communications technology,
she took a lead in ushering and organizing the launch of broadening the presence
of Microsoft, KenCell Communications, Mecer, SAP, WorldSpace, Compaq and
Hewlett Parkard in Eastern Africa. Other major companies that Esther steered their
presence in Kenya include Western Union, Flamingo Airlines and the New Economic
Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD). |
